Under this scheme, the Government of Andhra Pradesh aims to offer health cards to the employees of the state in order to know the health issues of the employees and acquaint them with medical emergencies. The EHS is now solely available for the Employees of the State government, their families, and pensioners in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The EHS is enacted under the tutelage of Dr. YSR Aarogyasari Healthcare Trust and is primarily managed by the government. The Employee Health Scheme covers various treatments such as in-patient treatment, out-patient treatment, and hospitalization at a different range of available hospitals network. Treatment Type and EHS Benefits

Treatment Covered

Benefits

Inpatient

  •  Full treatment and free-of-cost outpatient evaluation of particular therapy for several diseases identified under EHS.
  • Cashless treatment till 10 days after discharge of the patient.
  • 30 days of medicines in order to cover complications after the patient is discharged.

Outpatient

  •  Long-term illness is cured by specialists and super-specialist doctors at distinguished hospitals based on pre-defined conditions/reports of the patient.

Follow-ups

  • It can be availed for 1 year time period.
  • It includes different packages such as drugs, routine investigations, doctors’ consultations, and others based on the treatment areas.

Hospitalization

  • Semi-private ward in Slab A (Pay scale from 1 to 4).
  • Semi-private ward in Slab B (Pay scale from 5 to 17).
  • Private ward in Slab C (Pay grade from 18 to 32).

Financial Cap

  • Maximum of Rs. 2 Lakh for each illness.
  • If the due is more than Rs. 2 Lakh then the settlement can be availed by the CEO of the Aarogyasri Trust.

Non-eligible employees under EHS

As per the directions of the government of Andhra Pradesh, all state employees are not covered under the Employment Health Scheme. Following are the lists of those AP government employee who are not covered under this scheme-

  1. Law officers including State counsels, Public Prosecutors (PP), Advocate Generals (AG), Prosecutors, etc.
  2. All the beneficiaries of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).
  3. Employees of the Excise Department, Aarogya Sahayata of Prohibition, Aarogya Bhadratha of the Police Department, ESIS, and employees of the Road Transport Corporation as well.
  4. All India Services (AIS) officers, Pensioners, as well as Daily wage workers, are not covered under this scheme.
  5. Independent Children, Biological parents, and adopted children are also not covered under EHS.

Documents Required for the AP Health Card Application

For Employees:

  • Scanned passport-size photo of less than 100kb.
  • Scanned Aadhar/Aadhar Enrollment Certificate copy of less than 100kb.
  • Scanned Service Register/Joining Order of less than 100 kb.

Document For Pensioners:

  • Scanned passport-size photo of less than 100kb.
  • Scanned Aadhar/Aadhar Enrollment Certificate copy of less than 100kb.
  • Scanned Pensioner Payment Order’s copy less than 100kb.

For Dependents:

  1. Less than 5 Years of Age
    1. Scanned copy of Passport size photo less than 100kb.
    2. Scanned copy of Birth Certificate less than 100 kb.
  2. Above 5 Years of Age
    1. Scanned copy of passport-size photo less than 100kb.
    2. Scanned copy of Birth Certificate less than 100kb.

Enrolment Process for EHS

Those employees who are engaged with the government of Andhra Pradesh can enroll to avail Employee Health Scheme by using the following steps-

  1. Visit the official website of the Employee Health Scheme (EHS) i.e. http://www.ysraarogyasri.ap.gov.in/web/guest/ehs
  2. Click on ‘Sign-in’ and log in as Employee/Pensioner with respective User ID and Password.
  3. Click on the ‘Registrations’ tab and then Initiate Health Card/View Application.
  4. Enter the Aadhar Number or Aadhar Enrollment Number.
  5. Click on the ‘Retrieve’
  6. ‘Save’ the application form.

Final Process after submission of the Application form of the Employee:

Once the Applicant has submitted the application form, the form proceeds to the concerned DDO for approval. After DDO’s approval, the health cards will be generated. If the DDO rejects the application form, then the form is again sent back to verify the applicant/employee login details and then the applicant will be asked to resubmit the application.

Final Process after the submission of the Pensioner’s Application form:

Once the pensioner has submitted the application form, the form proceeds to the executive/trust for the approval process. The executive has the discretion to Accept/Reject/Verify/On hold/Add attachments/Close the application form of the Pensioners.
