Good Morning all of you present over here. Today we are here to celebrate one of the most significant moments in the history of our great nation- Indian Independence Day. It is a day that fills our hearts with pride, as we remember the countless sacrifices made by our forefathers to free our motherland from the cruel British rule. As we raise the tricolor high we must also reflect on the values and principles that guided our independence movement.

Now, after many years of independence, our country is on the right way of its development. It is only possible due to such great freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Lala Lajpat Roy, Bhagat Singh, Khudi Ram Bose, Chandra Shekhar Azad, and many more. Gandhiji was a great leader who taught us the non-violated way of getting freedom like ahimsa and satyagraha method. We should salute those heroic spirits. We should pay homage to them by remembering their brave deeds. They sacrifice for our motherland and never forget that it is because of their efforts that we stand today and breathe in an independent India.

Today we have the right to follow the Right to Education, the right to speak, and many more. Our country is one of the largest democratic countries in the world. India is also one of the largest countries in the world of doctors, engineers, and Scientists. We have come a long way after independence.

India is known as one of the most powerful countries in the world but still, people’s love for their country doesn’t keep them away from celebrating their Independence Day. Every year Red Fort is decorated with flowers along with its podium, stairs, marching ground, and seats of guests are arrange. Prime Minister hoists National Flag with National Anthem ”Janna Ganna manna”. He addresses the nation by sharing the achievements done by the government via different schemes and acts in the previous year. He also promises to make his country number one in the whole world.

After the speech, 21 gunshots are fired in honor of remembering freedom fighters. Armed forces of the Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, and Indian Army, Motorcycle troops, and the parade is conduct on Red Fort. They salute National Flag. Prime Minister greets students and teachers who attend the function by letting go of balloons in the air. At the same time, CM’s of state hoist National Flag and attend parades prepared by the people and appreciate them. At the border, soldiers hoist the national flag, sing, and dance to patriotic songs. They feel proud because citizens trust them and easily sleep at home.

Today we are here to celebrate our 76th Independence Day. We celebrate this auspicious day with great joy and excitement every year as our country got freedom on this day in 1947 from the cruel British rule. It is a great and significant day for all Indians. I have such a great chance to give a speech on Independence Day in front of you all. I would like to thank my class teacher for giving me such a golden opportunity.

Independence Day is celebrated all over India with great joy and pleasure. This day gives us the opportunity to remember all those freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives just for giving us a beautiful and peaceful life. Before Independence, people are not allowed to get an education, eat healthy food, and live a normal life like us. Indians are treated more badly and rudely than slaves by the Britishers just to fulfill their meaningless orders. Today we are free to do anything because of the great Indian leaders who struggle hard for many years to get freedom against British rule.
