Independence Day Tableau Winners List 2023

The best marching contingents and tableaux of the Independence Day Parade 2023 have been announced. Separate results one by a panel of judges and the other through an online public vote conducted by MyGov – have been declared. Three panels of judges were appointed for assessing the performance of Marching Contingents from three Services, Marching Contingents from Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF)/other auxiliary forces, and tableaux from various States/Union Territories and Ministries/Departments. Here is the list of all the parade winners as follows:

  • Best Marching Contingent among the three services – Punjab Regiment Centre Contingent
  • Best Marching Contingent among CAPF/other auxiliary forces – Crpf Marching Contingent
  • Best three Tableaux (States/UTs)
  • First – Uttarakhand (Manaskhand)
  • Second – Maharashtra (Sade Tin Shaktipithe & Nari Shakti)
  • Third – Uttar Pradesh (Ayodhya Deepotsav)
  • Best Tableau (Ministries/Departments) – Ministry of Tribal Affairs (Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs))
  • Special Prize: Central Public Works Department (Biodiversity Conservation)
  • and ‘Vande Bharatam’ Dance Group.

In addition to the panel of judges, a web page was created on the MyGov platform for online registration of citizens for watching the Independence Day Parade and Beating the Retreat Ceremony 2023 online. An online poll was conducted by MyGov for the citizens to vote for their favorite Tableaux from States/UTs and Ministries/Departments as also amongst the Marching contingents to select the best amongst popular choice categories.   • Third – Maharashtra (Sade tin Shaktipeeth and Nari Shakti)
  • Best Tableau (Central Ministries/Departments) – CAPF (Ministry of Home Affairs)

List of Parade Tableaux on Independence Day 2023

There is a long list of tableaux from all the states/UTs and ministries/departments. Here is the list of all the parade tableaux as follows:

  • Egyptian Armed Forces: marched on the Kartavya Path for the first time. It consisted of a band and a marching contingent of the Egyptian Armed Forces. The contingent was led by Colonel Mahmoud Mohamed Abdel Fattah El Kharasawy.
  • Horsed Cavalry: the only serving active Horsed Cavalry Regiment in the world, at Kartavya Path, was seen marching. Their motto is ‘Ashva Shakti Yashobal’.
  • 75 Armoured Regiment: Capt Amanjeet Singh led 75 Armoured Regiment onKartya Path.
  • Marching Contingents: marched down the Kartavya Path on Independence Day 2023.
  • The Naval contingent of 144 young sailors: It was led by Lt Cdr Disha Amrith as Contingent Commander on Kartavya Path.
  • All-Women CRPF contingent marched at Kartavya Path.
  • Andhra Pradesh Tableau:  depicted ‘Prabhala Theertham’- a festival of the peasantry during Makara Sankranti.
  • Assam Tableau: showed Ahom warrior Lachit Borphukan on a boat and the view of Maa Kamakhya temple.
  • Ladakh Tableau: was based on the theme ‘Tourism and composite culture of Ladakh’.
  • Gujarat Tableau: showed the renewable sources of energy on the theme ‘Clean-Green energy Efficient Gujarat’.
  • Tripura Tableau: with the theme ‘Sustainable Livelihood through tourism & organic farming in Tripura with the active participation of women’.
  • Jharkhand Tableau: showed the famous Baidyanath Temple located in Deoghar.
  • J&K Tableau: showed its theme ‘Naya J&K’ showcases the holy Amarnath Shrine and Tulip gardens and lavender cultivation.
  • UP Tableau: showcased the three-day Deepotsava celebrated in Ayodhya.
  • Karnataka Tableau: unveils the exceptional achievements of the state’s 3 women achievers. Sulagitti Narasamma – a midwife, Tulsi Gowda Halakki – known as ‘Vruksha Maate’ & Saalumarada Thimmakka are noted names due to their selfless contribution to society.
  • Haryana Tableau:  reflected design based on Bhagavad Gita.
  • Daring motorcycle display presented by the Corps of Signals Dare Devils team at Kartavya Path.
  • 33 Dare Devils made a ‘Human Pyramid’ on nine motorcycles on Kartavya Path.
  • 45 IAF aircraft, also consisted of one aircraft from Indian Navy and four helicopters from Indian Army.
