Eligibility Criteria National Means-cum-merit Scholarship

To apply for this scholarship scheme, you have to be eligible according to their terms and conditions. The terms and conditions are- The parental income of students is must less than Rs. 1,50,000/- from the year 2021-2022, and the annual income is increased by Rs. 3.5 Lakhs. The students have to secure 55% marks or equivalent grades in the class 7 examination if they want to appear in the examination. They should be regular in government schools. Students from Kendriya Vidyalaya and Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya are not titled under this scheme. Students from any other residential school are not eligible for this scheme. And Students must have to secure 55% or equivalent grade in class 8^th. There is a 5% relaxation for SC/ST students. When you get this scholarship at the higher secondary stage, it will be for all the time in the upcoming 4 years of study.

Selection Process for National Means-cum-merit Scholarship Scheme

The second level examination of the National Means-cum-merit scholarship scheme is conducted by NCERT. To select the participants, there is an examination which is held by the state government.

Procedure to Apply for National Means-cum-merit Scholarship Scheme And Check Status

Candidates who are eligible for apply in this scholarship scheme can go with these steps-

Visit the official site of the National Scholarship program. When you go to the official site, there is a homepage appears on your screen, and or new registration button is available.
Click on that. Select the continue option. After that, select the state of your domicile.
Select scholarship category and scheme type. After all that, they will ask you for personal details, after providing the details which are required.
They ask you for your bank account details. Select Aadhar or Bank Account number as identification details and click on the register button.
There is an OTP sent to your registered mobile number. Enter that OTP, get a login, and fill out the form.
The application ID and password will be generated. To check the status, you have to go to the same site and get the login.
After that, you will get the check status option.
